Sunday School in Action

Yay! Sunday School is in full swing for our youth. Each week, children from preschool through 6th grade hear about God's love through song, prayer, crafts and stories. We pray that God continues to work in the hearts of these children and their teachers.

Schedule for Sunday Morning

8:15 - Adult Bible class
8:30 - Sunday School and confirmation class for youth
9:30 - Sunday Worship in the sanctuary

There will be coffee in the Family Life Center from 8:00 until after the church service. Please stop by the FLC before or after church for coffee and fellowship.

Friday Bible Study has resumed. The Max Lucado book is God Never Gives Up on You: What Jacob’s Story Teaches Us About Grace, Mercy, and God’s Relentless Love. The book can be picked up in the church office and the first chapter can be started. Please pay $15 to Pastor Stolle when the class begins.

Thank you for your donations to Emily's Snacks. Your donations helped her stock up for the next semester. This is an ongoing need. The basket will be out whenever you find a good buy on snacks

Easter Breakfast

Ascension Elders are hosting an Easter Breakfast on April 20th, Easter Sunday 8 am. Danish, muffins, fruit, orange juice and coffee will be served along with Dave Talley’s renowned biscuits and gravy. A freewill offering will be available for those who want to contribute to Ascension’s maintenance fund that services our many, many air conditioners and furnaces.

Now Hiring: Children’s and Middle School Ministry Coordinator

Timothy Lutheran Church is seeking a part-time (20 hours/week) Children’s and Middle School Ministry Coordinator to lead and support our children’s and youth ministries. This position is ideal for someone with familiarity with our Lutheran confession of faith and a passion for helping kids and youth grow in their faith. The ideal candidate will be organized, creative, and comfortable leading both kids and adult volunteers. Knowledge for Jesus that aligns with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod is required. Walker Program

Ascension’s Walker Program is live! The Family Life Center is open for walking from 7 am to 10 am weekdays. Walking is a great way to start your day and can improve both your physical and mental health! Please join us.

Our Walker Program provides our members and our community with a forum for physical exercise through walking and fellowship. Ascension members serve as hosts for the program; which is open weekdays from 7 am to 10 am (not including holidays or when there is inclement weather). If you are interested in serving as a host, a host substitute, and/or would like more information please feel free to reach out to Charles Green or Pam Rinas.

Please continue saving Best Choice Labels. Labels can be given to Phyllis Kohl or put in the box above the coat race.

Norfleet Update:

The Norfleet clothes closet could use donations of sweat pants, primarily in younger sizes, to help when students have accidents at school.

Manicure Kits for Military Women

Human care will be collecting items to create manicure bags for active and retired military women through June 29th. Active military are only permitted to wear three manicure styles: clear, French, or American and nail polish of nude, light pink, white or creamy white. We will be collecting nail polish (Any color), nail polish remover, hand cream in a tube, cotton balls and nail clippers.

Youth Trivia Night - Saturday, April 26th

Join us in the Family Life Center for a fun filled evening of testing your knowledge of all things America! Trivia questions begin at 4:00 pm. Teams can be up to 6 people - $100 per team or $20 per person if you want to be put on a team. More details can be found on the posters around the church. Contact Sarah Eckhoff (barnums.mom@gmail.com) to register before April 23rd. All proceeds will go toward the youth group's trip to the National Youth Gathering this summer.
