Sunday School in Action

Yay! Sunday School is in full swing for our youth. Each week, children from preschool through 6th grade hear about God's love through song, prayer, crafts and stories. We pray that God continues to work in the hearts of these children and their teachers.

Schedule for Sunday Morning

8:15 - Adult Bible class
8:30 - Sunday School and confirmation class for youth
9:30 - Sunday Worship in the sanctuary

There will be coffee in the Family Life Center from 8:00 until after the church service. Please stop by the FLC before or after church for coffee and fellowship.

Bible Studies at Church

Sundays at 8:15 a.m. ~ Adult Bible Study
Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. - Vicar Walt Little (resumes in Spring)
Fridays at 10:00 a.m. - Pastor Stolle (resumes in January)

New Bible Study

The Sunday morning Adult Bible class (at 8:15) is called Feed My Lambs. Written by LCMS president, Dr Matthew Harrison, it focuses on our job of showing mercy

Vicar Walt Little's Bible Study ~

Walt's Wednesday Bible Study will resume in the Spring.

Pastor Stolle’s Bible Class ~ Fridays @ 10:00

Friday Bible Study has resumed. The Max Lucado book is God Never Gives Up on You: What Jacob’s Story Teaches Us About Grace, Mercy, and God’s Relentless Love. The book can be picked up in the church office and the first chapter can be started. Please pay $15 to Pastor Stolle when the class begins.

Thank you for your donations to Emily's Snacks. Your donations helped her stock up for the next semester. This is an ongoing need. The basket will be out whenever you find a good buy on snacks

Dorcas Circle Project

Each Thrivent member is able to order two Thrivent Cause Kits a year. The water filter kit is the kit available at this time. These kits are used in areas that do not have adequate fresh water. Dorcas Circle would like to collect these kits to assemble at our March 23 meeting. If you are a Thrivent member you can you can log on to your Thrivent account and click on "Get A Thrivent Cause Kit". They will send the kit to your home. Please bring your kit to church and leave it in the office or give it to Tamy Dotson or Brenda Frolin. Dorcas Circle will assemble and return the kits. If you have questions about ordering a kit, please contact Tamy Dotson.

Walker Program

Ascension’s Walker Program is live! The Family Life Center is open for walking from 7 am to 10 am weekdays. Walking is a great way to start your day and can improve both your physical and mental health! Please join us.

Our Walker Program provides our members and our community with a forum for physical exercise through walking and fellowship. Ascension members serve as hosts for the program; which is open weekdays from 7 am to 10 am (not including holidays or when there is inclement weather). If you are interested in serving as a host, a host substitute, and/or would like more information please feel free to reach out to Charles Green or Pam Rinas.

Fellowship in the Family Life Center

A reminder that there is coffee available in the Family Life Center after Church. Grab a cup and visit with friends.

Best Choice Labels

Please continue saving Best Choice Labels. Labels can be given to Phyllis Kohl or put in the box above the coat race.

Norfleet Update:

The Norfleet clothes closet could use donations of sweat pants, primarily in younger sizes, to help when students have accidents at school.

The LUMA-Auxiliary ingathering for March is nonperishable food items for the food pantries at Our Redeemer, Messiah, Immanuel, and Jesus El Buen Pastor. If you would like to contribute, please place items in the LUMA basket next to the elevator.

Miracles 4 Margaret

Blanket Drive bring a blanket new or handmade, any size is helpful. The purple collection box is outside of the family life center.
